McDaniels to Be Re-evaluated in Two Weeks

MINNEAPOLIS (November 21, 2023) - Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels will miss two to three weeks due to a right ankle sprain suffered in the team's 117-100 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.

McDaniels rolled his ankle in the first quarter of the game and did not return. He underwent an MRI on Tuesday that confirmed the severity of the injury.

"This is a tough one," said Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch. "Jaden has been playing really well for us, and we're going to miss him. But we have a lot of depth on this team, and we're confident that we can continue to win without him."

McDaniels is averaging 10.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game this season. He has started all 14 games for the Timberwolves, who are currently 8-6.

McDaniels will be re-evaluated in two weeks, and the Timberwolves will provide an update on his status at that time.
