Bobrovsky Shines, Rodrigues Nets Two

WEB - Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves to record his third shutout of the playoffs as the Florida Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-0 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night at Rogers Place.

Evan Rodrigues scored twice in the third period, while Niko Mikkola and Aaron Ekblad also found the back of the net for the Panthers, who took an early lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Oilers, who were making their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 2006, were held to just 32 shots on goal and were unable to solve Bobrovsky, who was making his 13th start of the playoffs.

Game 2 of the series is set for Monday night at Rogers Place.
